LIVIT is the health & fitness coaching practice of Mark Schneider. With a background in clinical and recreational fitness, bodywork, and strength training, Mark takes an unorthodox, no-nonsense, and trauma-informed approach to coaching. (Mark is also one of the co-founders of Trauma Informed Weight Lifting.) He specializes in working with beginners, people who’ve been injured, and people who live with anxiety, depression, and eating disorders.
The identity we designed for LIVIT reflect’s Mark’s personality as well as his coaching process. The wordmark—like Mark himself—is strong, solid, and balanced. A system of line drawings and arrows provide quiet but precise guidance, navigating LIVIT clients through written materials like coaching workbooks and training schedules. Heavy drawn marks interrupt this precision in key places; these marks reflect the messiness and tension inherent in the coaching process and are used in the identity to emphasize, energize, and sometimes contradict the more formal aspects of the design voice.
