The Slovenian avant-garde poet Tomaz Salamun, who died in 2014, was known for his experiments in surrealism, polyphony, and absurdism. This series published by Black Ocean is the first posthumous collection of the poet’s work.
All three covers adhere to a design system which can be extended indefinitely if additional books are added to the series. We also created a custom font for this project, which gave the author’s name, the book titles, and the excerpts on the back of each book a strong and unique typographic voice.
The cover designs for Justice and Andes were selected by Electric Literature for their list of the 16 Most Beautiful Book Covers of 2016.
